Antelope Island on Great Salt Lake is known for its population of American Bison. The bison was introduced to this island in the 1890's when the population in the rest of the country was waning. They have prospered here and there are now about 600 bison on this small island.
We've gotten some really neat pictures of them including a very close encounter when two wandered into the campground yesterday. They stayed in the campground all day!
